Join me on Wednesday, June 17th from 5:30pm - 8:30pm at Port Sandy Bay in Two Rivers for a fun, art filled evening. Yes, we are starting thirty minutes earlier due to the size of the project.
Yard Art continues and with this month's project, in a big way! Remember in January, I told you that I was going to take you out of your comfort zone a lot this year? Well, here we go! I've wanted to do this project for a while and now you are ready for the challenge! You will design and build a 4" x 18" mosaic garden sculpture that sparkles in the sun! Learn pro mosaic techniques as you work with ceramic and glass tiles, glass gems, mirror plus the special pieces you bring from home. Feel free to bring with you anything you'd like to add to your sculpture that is about .5-1" in size to fit the curvature of the piece. Items like plastic/metal bottle caps, your own mosaic tile, etc. Unfortunately, tiny items like beads will take too much time to place. Have a chipped or unused plate that you would like to incorporate? Bring it and we will break it up with a hammer into usable pieces or break it at home. I included some pennies in mine...lol.
You will complete your sculpture in class, and it will be ready to grout in a few days at home. Yes, there is homework involved! Grouting at home is easy and you will also receive everything you need to do it in a To-Go bag which will include, grout, gloves, step by step directions and a stake to hold your sculpture in place. (Also included is my phone number for added support!)

Art Night is a fun girl's night out, date night or come alone and make new friends. As always, enjoy a complimentary beverage while creating. We are going to have the prettiest yards in town by the end of summer!
