Spring Has Sprung!!  It has finally stopped snowing, the days are warmer and the grass is getting green.  But, the best part is that the flowers are starting to grow too!

Join me on Wednesday, April 21 from 6-8:30pm at Sepia Chapel in Two Rivers for a floral Art Night!  The comfort zone is a great place, but nothing ever grows there.  This is very true!  I invite you to step out of your comfort zone with me for just a bit and experience a new painting technique.  There are many substrates that an artist can paint on and it's time to try another one of them.  You will be painting on special paper! Whimsical florals will be a set of five, yes 5, 5x7 paintings that you will complete.  The first step in this painting technique is to create the background.  Learn how to mono-print using a plastic bag, to achieve an amazing base to start the next step of the process on.  Mono-printing is fun and easy.  What is mono-printing?  It is a form of printmaking that has lines and color that can only be printed once.  Layers are used to create spectacular artwork.  You aren't going to want to stop!  Once all five of the backgrounds are painted, its time to start designing the flowers.  You are the artist and can create 5 different flowers, botanicals, leaves, weeds etc.  or all five can be the same flower in different positions too.  I will have a few patterns available for anyone wanting to use them.   Mark making will be added too while the paint is still wet.  Learning something new is so much fun!  Your favorite from the 5, 5x7" paintings will be framed!  I will have several frames to choose from.  As always, no experience is necessary and a complimentary glass of wine or soda is included.  $36.
