Grateful Hearts

Self Expression through art!

Join me on Wednesday, January 25th from 6-8:30pm at Sepia Chapel, Two Rivers for a fun, heART filled Art Night.  This time of year, we tend to reflect on the months that have passed and the things that took place.  This project is right from your heart and soul. What is your hearts word?  I chose grateful!  Your word/words can be anything.  Love, family, create, home, kindness, strength, courage, etc to just name a few.   Underneath all of the layers of paint is a blank base.  We are going to start our painting by writing the things that we are grateful for, love, make our families, what makes us strong, what we are afraid of or if you have experienced loss.  The written base words relate to your hearts word.  The words are your own and will be hidden under all of the layers of painted love and courage.  No one will ever see them, but you will know they are there!  Use this as a time to feel, heal, gain strength, love, courage or give thanks.  As the artist, you make all design choices.  I chose to paint hearts but peace signs or stars would be amazing as well.  The shadow box frame is 8"x8".  Learn about warm and cool colors and how to avoid making muddy paint.  We will also play with a few crayons and markers too!   Oh ya, this project also calls for a little sparkle so metallic paint and glitter will be available as well.  No painting experience is necessary!  I will walk you through, step by step.  Art Night is a great girls night out or come alone and make new friends!  As always, enjoy a complimentary glass of wine or soda while creating.   $39

Love art from the heart and soul. When you add emotion to your painting, it becomes very special.  I am looking forward to sharing this with you. -Amy
